Fundraising in the digital age....
My daughter started PreK 4 this past year and I tried to be an active participate in the CPA Parent/ Teacher group. I do my best to collect the BoxTops for the school, I came across a post from Cool Mom Picks about the fundraising smart phone apps, I really loved Shoparoo because Buy the products you want, wherever and however you want. Then, just snap a pic of your receipt to make an instant donation to your child's school. It is extremely easy and fun to use.
As per the Shoparoo website the applicaton is available for both Android and iOS devices made within the past two years. The device that you use must have a functioning camera with good resolution (2MP+) to ensure that your receipt photos come our clear and legible. This means that two-thirds of Americans can use Shoparoo on their mobile devices to donate receipts to their chosen school or charity - and that percentage is rapidly growing. Please visit website for additional information here.

Kids Place...
A few months ago, I came across an app called Kids Place for my Kindle Fire. I must express my love for the app. Kids Place is a separate environment on my Kindle Fire that allows me to control which app my kids can access, I really love it because I do not need to worry about my kids playing my books or anything that I do not want them to touch which is great. The only downside is that they still can buy anything and everything if you do not have the parental controls turned on. I would suggest that is function should be included in future releases.
